Conformist Help


This is what Conformist looks like when you first launch it.

Typical usage

  • Start by adding one or more EDL or XML¹ files to the top left panel.

    ¹ XML-files must be compatible with the FCP schema.

    • Add files by dragging from Finder, or using the + button.
    • To remove, select one or more files and hit Backspace ⌫
      or press the – button.

  • Add one or more folders of raw material to the top right panel.
    • Add files by dragging from Finder, or using the + button.
    • To remove, select one or more files and hit Backspace ⌫
      or press the – button.

  • You can now drag files from the bottom view to any program or website that support drag and drop:

  • You can also drag from the middle view to export a list of source names:

Linked selection

Click on a sequence, and Conformist will select all its source clips and any media files for those clips.

Click on a folder, and Conformist will select all items depending on it.

Click on a source clip, and Conformist will select all the sequences containing it, any media files matching it and the folders they are in.

Click on a media files, and Conformist will select all source clips and sequences depending on it, at the folder it’s in.
